The Role

As Compliance Lead, you will own and operationalize the compliance program, turning regulatory obligations into a scalable, audit-ready system that earns trust from health systems, investors, and patients. This is a build role where you'll establish programs from the ground up rather than maintain existing ones.

You'll work alongside the IT & Security Manager, contributing to security posture while owning the compliance workstream end-to-end. Avandra handles protected health information across a growing network of health system partners, making compliance foundational to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop Avandra's compliance program across all regulatory frameworks
• Build audit-ready systems and documentation that demonstrate regulatory adherence
• Establish compliance policies, procedures, and controls for protected health information (PHI)
• Collaborate with IT & Security on integrated governance and risk management
• Ensure ongoing compliance monitoring and stakeholder reporting
• Prepare for and support external audits and regulatory examinations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience building compliance programs in healthcare or regulated industries
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA, state privacy laws, and healthcare data governance
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational frameworks
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Audit and documentation expertise
• Entrepreneurial mindset suited to scaling operations in a growth-stage company
