The Role

We're seeking a Senior Data Scientist to sit at the intersection of research and data strategy. You'll think deeply about what conversational data is composed of, what makes it valuable, and how to leverage it for model gains. This hands-on, high-leverage role offers unusual latitude to define an area from first principles and reports directly to the VP of Data Operations.

Conversational audio presents rich scientific, engineering, and infrastructure challenges orders of magnitude harder than text. Speech carries speakers, accents, dialects, emotion, overlapping talk, code-switching, domain vocabulary, and acoustic conditions ranging from quiet studios to drive-throughs. You'll characterize these complexities and shape strategies that turn them into measurable model improvements.
