The Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Performance & Reliability team. You will drive reliability standards across all engineering teams, processing 10B+ events per month with strict latency and availability requirements. In our "you build it, you run it" culture, every team owns their service reliability — and your team raises the bar across them all.

Your Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous growth
• Reliability Ownership: Own the reliability roadmap — identify, prioritize, and execute technical debt that threatens system health
• Systems Architecture: Design and operate distributed systems running 24/7 with ultra-low latencies and strict SLOs
• Platform Capabilities: Build tooling, observability, and operational standards that make it easy to ship reliable software
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work alongside Product Management and Data Science to integrate reliability into product development
• Technical Standards: Proactively identify reliability risks and push for automation over manual intervention

About You

• Proven experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
• Deep understanding of reliability engineering: latency budgets, availability requirements, and 24/7 operations
• Track record of identifying and eliminating technical debt
• Strong mentoring and team-building capabilities
• Comfortable with cloud-native infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Experience designing relational, NoSQL, and graph databases
• Passion for continuous learning and raising engineering standards

Our Platform Engineering group powers the entire development lifecycle with a cloud-first approach, enabling fast-paced, open, and collaborative environments where engineers experiment and discover their full potential.

Salary Disclosure: The salary range of $170,000–$240,000 USD annually is an editorial market estimate based on role, seniority, and geography, not employer-provided compensation. Actual salary may vary based on experience, location, and qualifications.
