Job Description
About Livefront
Livefront helps companies design and build world-class digital products that inspire joy. We've partnered with household names like CVS, Samsung, General Mills, and Optum, as well as innovative startups like HomeSpotter and Credly, to create experiences reaching millions.
The Role
We're seeking a senior-level Databricks Data Engineer to join our growing data practice. You'll build the data and AI foundations that power digital products and intelligent experiences. This is a fully remote position based in Peru.
Who You Are
You are a production-grade Databricks specialist who understands that great data platforms drive real business outcomes. You thrive in ambiguity, quickly assess client data landscapes, and recommend tailored solutions. You're equally comfortable in product design conversations and building DLT pipelines. You excel at translating complex data challenges into clear technical requirements and confidently engage stakeholders from data scientists to executives. Your engineering principles are mature and grounded in real-world, multi-industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build production data pipelines using Databricks Declarative Pipelines, Autoloader, and Structured Streaming with end-to-end ownership of ingestion, transformation, data quality, and CI/CD deployment
- Architect Lakehouse solutions on Databricks—medallion architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog—tailored to analytics, AI, and application needs
- Build and maintain transformation layers using DLT pipelines, PySpark notebooks, and dbt with data quality constraints and SLAs
- Design data and AI foundations—Unity Catalog, Feature Store, MLflow, and Model Serving—powering production ML, agent workflows, and AI-enabled products
- Collaborate with product and backend engineers to design data models, APIs, and application data contracts
- Consult with clients to understand data challenges, develop strategies, and implement sustainable solutions
- Lead or contribute to data architecture projects based on needs
