About Aegis Ventures

Aegis Ventures partners with entrepreneurs and industry leaders to launch and scale transformative companies in digital health and artificial intelligence. The platform brings together market-shaping ideas, growth capital, and ambitious individuals to solve major societal problems, with a focus on healthcare innovations.

About Avandra Imaging

Avandra Imaging's mission is to unlock clinical data to overcome previously impossible medical challenges. The company is revolutionizing healthcare research and innovation by creating the largest indexed data cloud of medical imaging. This platform unlocks unprecedented access to real-world imaging data, essential for biopharma research, medical device innovation, AI model training, and improved patient care.

Avandra leverages strategic acquisitions to aggregate and de-identify vast amounts of imaging data, providing frictionless access to this invaluable resource. With a national footprint of over 5,000 customer integrations and approximately 70% market share, the company maintains robust infrastructure supporting continued growth and cash flow to fuel innovative data cloud initiatives.

About the Role

As a Principal Software Engineer at Avandra Imaging, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader, collaborating across Engineering, Product, and other business areas to shape and deliver systems that are secure, scalable, and high-impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive architectural direction and set quality standards across the technology stack
  • Mentor and elevate other engineers through collaboration and technical expertise
  • Influence through expertise rather than authority, fostering engineering excellence
  • Work on complex technical domains requiring deep domain knowledge
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver systems that drive measurable business impact

This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex environments, influences through expertise, and is committed to elevating the work of others through mentorship and collaboration.
