The Opportunity

We're hiring an Engineering Manager, AI Engineering to lead our AI Engineering team. This is a player-coach leadership role where you'll lead a team of AI Engineers while remaining deeply involved in technical strategy, architecture, prototyping, and critical implementation decisions. You'll balance people leadership with hands-on technical contribution, shaping both our AI platform and next-generation AI-powered customer experiences.

You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Platform Engineering, Security, and Engineering leadership to define and execute Procurify's AI strategy while building a highly engaged, high-performing team. The team is responsible for building and operating the intelligence layer that powers our platform, leveraging Generative AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, and agentic systems to help customers automate workflows, uncover insights, and make more effective spending decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of AI Engineers, providing coaching for technical excellence, fostering individual career growth, and nurturing a high-performance culture built on trust, ownership, experimentation, and collaboration.
• Lead Through Technical Contribution: Serve as a player-coach by actively participating in architecture reviews, technical design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and critical implementation efforts. Maintain technical credibility through active engagement with the team's work and technical direction.
• Drive AI Product Delivery: Lead your team to consistently deliver high-impact AI-powered products and platform capabilities. Define success metrics, track progress transparently, and proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and business impact.
• Shape AI Architecture & Technical Vision: Lead the technical strategy for AI Engineering by partnering with key stakeholders across Product, Platform, and Security to align technical investments with business goals, building foundational platforms that enable scalable AI innovation.
