About This Role
ServiceNow is seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Technology Marketing to lead our go-to-market initiatives and shape the future of how we position our platform in the enterprise technology space. As Director of Strategic Technology Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate ServiceNow's brand positioning, drive customer acquisition, and establish thought leadership in the technology sector. This role demands a strategic mindset combined with hands-on marketing expertise and the ability to navigate complex B2B technology landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Strategic Marketing Vision: Create and execute long-term marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on brand positioning, market differentiation, and competitive advantage in the enterprise software space.
- Lead Go-to-Market Initiatives: Oversee the development and launch of integrated campaigns that drive awareness, generate qualified leads, and accelerate customer acquisition across key market segments.
- Build and Mentor Teams: Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing marketing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Manage Marketing Budget: Allocate resources strategically across channels, campaigns, and initiatives to maximize ROI and achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Establish Thought Leadership: Position ServiceNow and key executives as industry thought leaders through content marketing, speaking engagements, partnerships, and media relations.
- Drive Product Marketing Excellence: Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to develop compelling messaging frameworks, positioning statements, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
- Measure and Optimize Performance: Implement analytics frameworks, track KPIs, and use data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Manage External Partnerships: Work with agencies, consultants, and technology partners to expand marketing reach and capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a director-level or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in B2B technology marketing and enterprise software positioning
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies that drive measurable business results
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience building and scaling marketing organizations
- Excellent strategic thinking skills combined with strong execution and project management abilities
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and data-driven decision-making
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with marketing technology platforms, marketing automation, and CRM systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cloud computing, SaaS, or enterprise IT software markets
- Background in demand generation and lead management
- Familiarity with ServiceNow products and platform capabilities
- MBA or equivalent advanced business degree
- Experience with content marketing and thought leadership programs
