The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the AI Platform team, you will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure empowering healthcare providers daily. Operating as an OpenAI portfolio company, you'll work alongside leading AI minds and leverage cutting-edge advancements. In your first 6 months, you'll establish foundations for long-term success by investing in platform observability, reliability, and scalability. As a technical leader, you'll own the complete lifecycle of major AI stack initiatives—from system design through deployment.
What You'll Do
- Design and architect major product features leveraging latest AI advancements to deliver exceptional user experience
- Anticipate system bottlenecks and proactively re-architect key components before impacting customers
- Lead high-strategic-value product initiatives, accelerating iteration velocity while preventing technical debt accumulation
- Maintain codebase excellence and develop engineering processes that prioritize shipping high-quality code
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent)
- Deep expertise building scalable, reliable systems in production environments
- Strong foundation in software architecture, system design, and distributed systems
- Experience with AI/ML platforms or large-scale infrastructure preferred
- Track record as a technical leader driving major initiatives from conception to delivery
Note: Engineering roles are hybrid, requiring 3 days/week in our San Francisco office.
