Job Description

About Zinnia

Zinnia is the leading technology platform for accelerating life and annuities growth. With innovative enterprise solutions and data insights, Zinnia simplifies the experience of buying, selling, and administering insurance products. The company manages over $180 billion in assets under administration, serves 100+ carrier clients, 2,500 distributors and partners, and over 2 million policyholders.

The Role

As Senior Product Manager for Case Management, you will own the product area that moves insurance cases through their complete lifecycle—from new-business intake and requirements orchestration through underwriting, issuance, and placement. You will lead the product lifecycle for this domain, partner closely with Engineering teams, and work across Zinnia's Product Organization to keep the case-management experience aligned with company strategy while delivering measurable value to carriers, distributors, and policyholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and lifecycle for case-management capabilities across new-business and underwriting workflows—intake, requirements gathering, status tracking, and case placement spanning distributor and carrier touchpoints.
  • Lead technical discussions with Engineering teams and manage technical and business requirements end-to-end.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met, evaluate performance, and transition features from development to commercialization.
  • Define delivery and deployment timelines for new product, feature, maintenance, and service-pack releases.
  • Ensure technology and architectural roadmaps align with product and business strategy.
  • Act as a customer liaison on technical matters related to product integration, custom development, and requirements.
  • Lead major releases and ensure enhancements respond to carrier, distributor, and end-user needs.
  • Mentor a lean team of Product Managers and act as a technical consultant to the product organization.
  • Champion data-privacy and regulatory/compliance requirements when designing workflows handling sensitive applicant and policyholder information.

Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years in Product Management, including analyzing software design, development, and deployment.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background as a technical and functional Product Manager or Business/Product Analyst in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of API integration, SQL, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of technical architectures, system design, and scalability considerations.
  • Experience in insurance, fintech, or regulated enterprise SaaS environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional leadership, and mentoring capabilities.

Salary Disclosure: This position shows no published compensation. The estimated salary range of $130,000–$190,000 USD annually is an editorial market estimate based on comparable Senior Product Manager (Technical) roles in the insurance and fintech sectors, and is not employer-provided. Actual compensation varies by candidate experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
