Associate General Counsel, Director

About the Role

Snappy is seeking a pragmatic, business-minded Associate General Counsel to serve as a key member of our lean legal team. This is a broad, high-impact role for an attorney who can independently lead commercial contracting, partner closely with business teams, improve legal operations and help the company navigate legal issues in a growing SaaS business.

You will work closely with the General Counsel and leaders across Sales, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, People, and IT. The right candidate combines strong judgment and drafting skills with the ability to move quickly, communicate clearly and distinguish material risk from pragmatic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Contracting: Independently negotiate enterprise customer agreements, SaaS contracts, marketplace and channel partnerships, retail and fulfillment arrangements, vendor agreements, data protection agreements, professional services agreements, and strategic transactions.
• Business-Oriented Legal Advice: Provide timely, practical counsel to Sales, Partnerships, Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing, People and other stakeholders.
• Strategic Partnerships: Serve as primary legal partner for revenue-generating initiatives, helping teams structure new products, partnerships, programs and go-to-market models in scalable and compliant ways.
• Enterprise Support: Lead legal support for enterprise deals and customer diligence, including privacy, security, compliance, insurance and product-related questions.
• Template Development: Draft, maintain and improve standard agreements, fallback positions, negotiation playbooks, approval frameworks and self-service resources.
• Process Optimization: Develop and improve contracting and legal intake processes to reduce friction, accelerate deal cycles and create visibility into legal work and contractual commitments.
• Data Protection & Compliance: Partner with Product teams on data protection, AI, product counseling and regulatory issues, including review of new tools, data uses and customer-facing functionality.
• Corporate Legal Support: Support corporate, employment and general legal matters including policy development, dispute management, compliance initiatives and coordination with outside counsel.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical business guidance.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 base annually, plus 15% annual target bonus

Location: Remote (U.S., Eastern Time working hours)
